Syed Noman Zahid Ali
Practicing law for over 10 years and rendering general legal advice and opinions as well as conducting cases in courts, including High Courts, banking courts and various special courts and tribunals. Recently appointed as a lawyer on the panel of Advocate General Sindh for representing the provincial government in all matters in the High Court of Sindh.
In 2015, represented NIB Bank in the High Court of Sindh at Karachi in five (5) Constitution Petitions filed by the Bank’s Customers seeking exemption from imposition, levy and deduction of withholding tax on bank accounts of employees’ benevolent funds.
In 2016, on the instructions from Sindh Bank Ltd. obtained a status quo order from the Honourable High Court of Sindh at Karachi against imposition of professional and property tax by the Clifton Cantonment Board. Actively, representing banks, including NIB Bank, Sindh Bank Ltd. and Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Ltd. in banking recovery suits in the High Court of Sindh, Banking Courts and Special Banking Judge (Banking Offences Courts) at Karachi.
Since 2015, actively assisting Mr. Shoukat Hayat Advocate Supreme Court as part of the team defending Shoaib Shaikh and Others in Axact Scandal before the Sessions Court at Karachi and the Honourable High Court of Sindh at Karachi.

Before joining “Syed Noman Zahid Ali & Associates” in 2014, Shahid Ali Khan worked over 32 years with “Mansoor Ahmad Khan & Company” a renowned Banking, Commercial and Civil Litigation law firm of the country.
During his stay with “Mansoor Ahmad Khan & Company”, Shahid Ali Khan had the privilege and honour of working under late Mansoor Ahmad Khan, Senior Advocate Supreme Court and to assist him in preparing all banking and commercial matters and pleadings.
Shahid Ali Khan brings with him a wealth of practical knowledge and understanding of law and is well conversant with the practice and procedures at the Courts. Due to his soft, friendly and helping nature, he proves to be the best trainer for many young litigators entering the field of law.

Previously, he worked for 25 years as Senior Associate at “Liaquat Merchant Associates (‘LMA’)” where he found the opportunity of not only exclusively handling banking, shipping and civil litigation but training a host of juniors, including Syed Noman Zahid Ali at LMA.
Afzal Ahmed is well attentive and receptive to critical comments and observations of clients and the Bench. Apart from legal profession, Afzal Ahmed devout time to activities related to the profession and legal professionals by holding honourary positions of President and General Secretary to the Karachi Bar Association Cooperative Housing Society and member / office bearer of the Sindh High Court Bar Association.
Afzal Ahmed also does philanthropic and social welfare works through his Hashmi Welfare Trust a charitable trust for the underprivileged segment of the society.
Seema Parveen
Seema Parveen is a joint partner at Syed Noman Zahid Ali & Associates and provides corporate and commercial advisory / consultancy services to the firm’s clients.
Seema Parveen is very hard working and dedicated resource of the firm and actively participates and renders advice on critical matters. She has worked for several years with Mr. Akbar H. Mirza in his firm with the name and style of “Mirza & Rassani” and handled a lot of civil, rent and shipping cases of the firm.
Seema Parveen has also worked as Manager (in-house counsel) at Pakistan Steel Mills Corporation, where she regularly assisted Pakistan Steel Mills’ panel advocates in a variety of cases.

Yousaf Amanat
Mr. Yousaf Amanat with his strong and dedicated team heads the Islamabad Office of the firm and has in-depth experience in contentious and non-contentious matters, including but not limited to drafting of corporate, commercial instruments and documents and advisory services ranging all areas of civil, corporate, commercial and banking laws.
